Monthly Recap - July 2026

Another month, another update from the HandlPay team.

Our developers, including the newest addition to the team, have been heads-down all month. Most of what they are building ships with V2. 

Here is what happened in July.

200m $HANDL bridged from EVM to Canton in-app

The bridge had a strong July as we continue to expand it. 200M $HANDL tokens were bridged from EVM into Canton Network in July, worth about $1M. Beyond HANDL, the bridge also supports $USDC and interest there is growing too. We are gradually adding support for other ecosystem assets as well and look forward to increasing everyone's access to Canton.

The HandlPay X Affiliate Badges

We handed out the first round of HandlPay affiliate badges on X to 22 selected accounts. They went to the most active members of the Canton community, along with friends who trade actively and carry weight in their own circles.

Canton Network is a new ecosystem and supporting the chain's new KOLs helps accelerate the growth of the network and is an effort we are actively looking to support. We are open to collaborations in this regard, feel free to reach out!

With the help of the badges we aim to spread project awareness and help grow the profiles of badge holders. For example, since implementing the feature last month, our own account has increased in followers by 30% and in impressions by 10%.

X Affiliate badge benefits:

• Increased Visibility: Posts and profile receives a boost in visual authority across the platform.
• Comment priority: comments appear at the top above non-badge holders’.
• Instant Credibility: The badge proves you are an official representative, employee, or partner of a recognized organization.
• Premium Features: Affiliated accounts automatically receive a verification checkmark (Blue or Gold) without a personal X Premium subscription.
• & more.

HandlPay Affiliate Eligibility Requirements:

• Priority is given to accounts who actively promote Canton Network itself and/or projects from the Canton ecosystem
• Eligible if the person is an active member of key trading communities and carries weight amongst circles of influence in crypto.
• Posts must have a decent amount of engagement.
• Must be willing to promote the need for privacy in crypto and crypto payment/stablecoin narratives.

Increasing support for Canton Assets in HandlPay

We have integrated support for many major assets such as USDC, BTC, and ETH for Canton. Now we have added support for EDEL, the utility token of Edel Finance who we partnered with make tokenized assets more accessible to retail users. We will continue adding support for more Canton native projects and assets. 

HandlPay V2 Status: first release end of Q3

HandlPay v2 is in development and is a complete rebuild of the application. We are redoing the back-end and most importantly, the UX/UI design to make it much more intuitive and easy for non-crypto users to adopt. 

The issue with the current design of crypto wallets (incl. HandlPay’s, let’s be frank) is that users still think in terms of wallets and blockchains when sending a payment.

With HandlPay v2, people will truly feel the essence of our slogan “if they can DM you, they can pay you”. People will not need to interact with crypto concepts. Most importantly, all payments will be private by default thanks to Canton Network’s composable privacy.
